June Call Outs: 2 for divers

News:

_The training for July is a Mock Rescue. All teams are encouraged to come. We are trying to get some from other counties to participate. It will be done on a call out basis and the location is TBA.

_Brad Randall, Jeff Malan, and John Sohl went to Tucson, AZ for the annual MRA meeting. They accepted an Outstanding Team award on behalf of our team for the airplane crash last August. It was the only one given out this year. John Sohl and Lee Schussmann also received Outstanding Member Awards.

_We will have a sign up sheet at the meeting for the Fair. This is our only fundraiser, and we always need everyone’s help.

_ The Sheriff’s annual Golf Tournament was June 14. About $5000.00 was raised for the Search & Rescue general fund. Thanks to everyone who helped on that.

_The North Face order is in.

_Team shirts. There are "golf" shirts available to everyone. They are a grey with embroidered Sheriff’s star, Search & Rescue on one side and your name on the other side. There will be one available to see at the meeting. These are $21.00 and we will be taking orders at the meeting. These shirts are for PR things (i.e.: Climbsafe, parades, etc.), they are not our call out shirts. The Sheriff’s office has decided to have everyone’s call out shirts be the same also. It will be a red t-shirt, what exactly is on it is still being decided.

_The only parade that "we" (SAR) have been asked to participate in is in Riverdale on July 5th.

_The Jeep Patrol have acquired a Zodiak boat to help for water calls.

_The internet site that John Sohl has put on the web is: http://planet.weber.edu/sar John and Sheri have spent a lot of time and effort re-doing the page. Check it out.
