News:

_Regan Howell handed out new rosters. Please check your information for accuracy and get back to Regan with any changes.

_February was a busy month. Kudos to Lt. Jeff Malan, Deputy Brad Randall, and Deputy Ron Kendell along with all MRU members who helped out with the various avalanche and winter rescue trainings.

For more information contact John Sohl, or page Roy West at (801) 479-9290, or visit the BCSSAR. There is also information about this conference, including the agenda on the calendar in the pop-up window that you can access by clicking on the entry "MRU recert. in ID."

_Roy West also handed out information on the 2000 MRA Conference in Alberta, Canada on June 23-25. For more information contact John Sohl, or page Roy West at (801) 479-9290, or visit the MRA. There is also information about this conference, on the calendar.

_John Sohl outlined current plans for the upcoming Rock Recertification to be held at the Environmental Center on 21-23 July. For more information contact John Sohl.

_Lane McPheeters opened discussions regarding this year's Safe Climb Seminar. Plans are still tentative but part of the Seminar will be held at Wayne Aprill's new climbing gym. _There is a new WCSSAR calendar on the web listing all of the trainings, conferences, and general events pertaining to specific WCSSAR teams and all the teams as a whole. Take a look at it and send your comments to Sheri. This calendar also has the neat feature of sending out email reminders of upcoming events. If you would like to take advantage of this feature contact Sheri. Thanks very much to Mike Gardner of Brown Bear Software and John Sohl for the use of this calendar.

_The internet site that John Sohl put on the web is: http://planet.weber.edu/sar. Sheri is currently working on adding K-9 unit pages to this site and will eventually be rearranging the site to reflect the other WCSSAR units.
